Project Management Consultant required to cover Transport Manager.

Client: Local Authority in South London

Job Title: Project Management Consultant

Pay Rate: £375 per day UMBRELLA (Inside IR35)

Hours: 36 Hours a week (Mon-Fri) Hybrid, mix of office and home.

Duration 6 Month Contract (possible extension)

PURPOSE OF ROLE:

The Strategic Transport service has a wide range of responsibilities which are not currently being effectively discharged due to capacity constraints.

The temporary member of staff will help address this by undertaking areas of work including:
* Supporting the development of plans, policies and strategies which deliver against the Clients transport priorities.
* Monitoring performance on a variety of programmes and projects.
* Managing Boards and meetings, including arranging sessions and preparing papers.
* Providing financial and monitoring reporting information for Boards and other meetings.
* Undertaking regular monitoring of mailboxes and other external interfaces to make sure that enquiries are responded to in line with corporate targets.

Key experience, knowledge and skills:
* Experience of working in the public sector.
* Knowledge of transport planning and policy.
* Degree level qualification or equivalent relevant experience.
