 Project Forwarding & Procurement Specialist (Oil & Gas / Energy). Office Based.

• Have a minimum 3 years international procurement experience with in-depth shipping & project logistics attached

• Good knowledge of the Energy industry/equipment/suppliers

• A buyer with a broad technical understanding

• Knowledgeable about international trade and documentation

 

Main Tasks

• To effectively check all sales orders against our quotation and suppliers quotations to ensure the order is profitable and compliant

• To ensure all information is accurately recorded and all tasks actioned in a timely and professional manner including confirmation of sales orders, handover to expediting with the correct shipping documentation

• To effectively time manage to meet all deadlines, due dates and delivery schedules. Negotiate, source, and obtain materials, equipment, and services, achieving competitive pricing without compromising quality

• Focus on both major projects and new client relationships whilst also supporting existing customers. To liaise directly with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure quotes are secured and successfully delivered

• To provide clients with an offer that meets their exact technical and commercial requirements and is compliant, competitive, clear and comprehensive

• Experience of OOG loads or awkward shipment size logistics

• To execute and manage supplier contracts in accordance with guidelines to optimise cost, service, quality, and capital

• To evaluate and select suppliers on the basis of credibility/capability, commercial, technical, and delivery criteria against the client

• To consult line managers with bid-tabs, supplier/logistics quotations and other key information to determine bid finalisation

• To source and build a hitlist of appropriate suppliers using our supplier database, file history, and other in-house resources

• To develop and maintain up-to-date professional skills in order to ensure continuous delivery of a high-standard procurement service

• To support the rest of the team by answering questions and offering your expertise

• To manage the sales order backlog so that the procurement team hands files over to the supply chain team within the agreed KPIs

• To undertake any tasks required that are commensurate to the role
