In this role, you will be supporting senior members of the team by attending site visits, soil logging to UK standards, preparing reports, completing phase 1 desk studies, and performing environmental risk assessments.

The ideal candidate will be educated to a degree level in an environmental geoscience-related discipline (Geoscience, Ecology, Geoenvironmental), will have some experience performing phase 1 desk studies, and will have gone out to sites to complete surveys, walkovers, collect samples, and monitor the air. The candidate will also be keen to develop their knowledge as an individual and will be keen to learn.

This role would be perfect for a junior environmental scientist looking to engage with some complex but extremely interesting projects whilst maintaining their work-life balance.

The Role:

  • Complete site visits at various locations by carrying sample collections of soil, groundwater, gas and vapor.
  • Attend site walkovers, supervise contractors and carry out surveys.
  • Prepare factual reports by performing phase 1 desk studies, environmental risk assessments and waste classifications.
  • Create risk assessments and method reports.


The Individual:

  • Educated to a Degree level in an Environmental Geoscience related discipline
  • Be working towards being a member of a geoscience professional body
  • Have experience attending sites and be competent to perform these solo
  • Preferably be a current CSCS card holder.
