Job Title: Project Engineer

Duration: 6 Months - Possibility of extension

Pay Rate: Competitive

Location: Wolverhampton

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, Hybrid working - 3 days on site minimum (onsite 4/5 days while starting off in the role)

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and high-achieving individual to join an organisation as a Project Engineer in Wolverhampton. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring schedules and costs on key projects and current engineering activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor project delivery to ensure adherence to schedule, cost, and quality
  • Provide inputs to planning, estimation, and project management activities, including financial resource forecasts
  • Support internal and external stakeholders through focused presentations and meetings
  • Assist in resourcing and compliance to schedule for projects and ongoing activities
  • Regularly review programme actuals and charged labour, identifying and reporting risks and opportunities
  • Support monthly engineering forecast reviews with Engineering and Finance leadership

Highly Desirable Experience:

  • Strong understanding of EVMS (Earned Value Management System) and related monitoring and harmonisation activities
  • Proficient in MS Office® to analyse, condense, and present complex data
  • General understanding of the product lifecycle, from concept definition to launch and aftermarket support

Desirable Experience:

  • Knowledge of engineering resource management and programme overview, including offshore and indirect engineering teams
  • Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
  • Attitude that fits an international and multicultural environment
  • A team player with excellent communication skills, able to interact at all levels with technical teams and project leaders

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a 2.1 Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related discipline. In the absence of a degree, significant and relevant experience is required.
