Project Engineer

A manufacturer of high-end and high-value components sold to both Automotive and Yellow Goods clients globally is now seeking a motivated Contract Project Engineer. The successful candidate will play a critical role in optimising world-class manufacturing processes. You'll ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget, adopting a culture of efficiency. In return, the successful professional will be provided with a competitive hourly rate (outside of IR35), flexible working hours, and the chance of a long-term contract past the initial 6-month period.

Project Engineer responsibilities include -

• Develop clear timelines, milestones, and budgets to ensure projects meet objectives and deadlines.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to identify project requirements, potential risks, and opportunities.
• Monitor project progress, identify and mitigate roadblocks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including reports, status updates, and presentations for clear communication.
• Analyse existing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.

Project Engineer desirable skills and experience -

• Experience in a similar position (Project Manager, Manufacturing Engineer etc).
• Experience working with diverse teams across process engineering, continuous Improvement, tooling, engineering change and assemblies.
• Experience managing BOM, capital investment and expenditure.
• Mechanical engineering degree (HNC/HND), or other relevant engineering training.
