If you are an Audit Senior Manager, already residing in Birmingham, and looking for something a bit different - I'd like to hear from you.
We are working with a rapidly growing firm who are currently seeking a Project Director. This is a Birmingham based opportunity, offering hybrid work but also involves the occasional visit to their London office.
As part of the Technical Team, you would be involved in delivering allocated projects. These may include projects to influence the development of new or amended IFRS, to assess new or amended IFRS for UK endorsement or to carry out research projects.

Your role as a Project Director:
- You will develop project plans with key milestones, coordinate and review the work of allocated project teams.
- Engage with the international debate including the IASB's proposals and decisions, identifying and analysing any issues and concerns.
- Develop solutions, gather evidence and assessing stakeholders' views of the project.
- Prepare and present technical papers for the UK Endorsement Board.
- Involvement in board meetings and training days held at the firms London office.
What you'll need to succeed:
- ACA/ACCA qualified with 5 years post-qualification experience within an accountancy practice.
- Preferably from an audit background with a strong technical understanding of IFRS.
- Ideally experience in technical accounting work or standard-setting or the ability to demonstrate a clear interest in these activities.
- Ability to lead and manage a team and ensure the delivery of tight deadlines.
