The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Project and Technical Actuary to join our team in either our Bristol or Basingstoke office!
In this role, you will play a technical role in projects and lead on business-as-usual technical issues. This role offers the opportunity to work on a range of projects and make a meaningful impact within our Operations department.
This is a fantastic opportunity for those interested in being the lead technical and actuarial expert while supporting junior members of the team.
You'll be:
- Providing actuarial support and leadership for business projects, including defining and signing off on calculation requirements and testing
- Offering actuarial expertise and signing off on administration system or customer service-related escalations
- Maintaining a range of tools and logs to ensure accuracy and optimal efficiency
- Advising on changes arising from Technical Actuarial Standards and regulatory or principle changes
- Supporting mainframe migrations and changes
You should apply if you:
- Are a fully qualified Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries (IFoA) or are a part-qualified actuary with appropriate experience
- Can efficiently manage multiple actuarial projects simultaneously, from conception to completion
- Possess in-depth knowledge of a range of life assurance and pensions product types and charges
- Are able to work to project deadlines and in a multi-disciplinary environment
