Good Morning we have a great new role become available. This role will be working as a Professional Standards Administration Assistant.

This is a part time position working 22.2 hours to be worked between Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00. Desirable to work - Fridays

Role Purpose

The provision of an administrative service to the Professional Standards Department.

Role Accountabilities

  • Provide a full support service in connection with the processing of complaints and misconduct investigations against police using defined procedures and precedents.
  • To have a good understanding of and be able to work within policies and procedures, business rules and protocols relating to the Professional Standards Department.
  • Provide excellent customer service to members of the public and internal staff using good communication skills to respond promptly and efficiently to any queries.
  • To be proficient to the required standard in the use of the Force complaints computer system - Centurion.
  • Provide statistical information to assist with the preparation of reports.
  • Prioritise own work with minimum supervision and complete to a high degree of accuracy
  • Organise car hire, hotel bookings and other administrative arrangements for members of the department
  • Must be able to attain and retain the appropriate level of enhanced vetting.

Prior Education and Experience

  • Minimum of NVQ level 2 or equivalent
  • Typically 2 years administrative experience including knowledge of office IT systems
  • Experience of dealing with the public will be an indicator of a candidate's range of acquired skills.
