Position: Lapping Operator / Production Operator / Production Technician
Salary: £13 to £16 per hour (£27k to £33k per annum), plus overtime paid at x1.5 and benefits
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am till 4:00pm and Friday 6am till 1pm
Location: Commutable from Camberley, Bracknell, Farnborough, Farnham, Guildford, Aldershot and surrounding areas

The role being a little niche and unique, and therefore training will be offered and provided for the right person. They just require someone with some related experience gained in a machining or engineering or manufacturing environment who is willing and keen to learn.

Responsibilities

Responsible to set up and perform necessary lapping ops on inside and/or outside diameters of various precision parts using various measuring equipment;
Provide assistance to all areas in the team when required (including lapping, polishing, straightening, deburring, part marking and cleaning of components)
Cleaning of components prior to inspection;
Ensure machines are operated according to site and manufacturer’s recommendations;
Meet desired quantities, conducting in-process inspection and checking against drawings and specifications to ensure they are made accurately and to the highest standards;
Keep the working environment clean and tidy and practice good housekeeping;
Report into the Unit Manager and advise of any delays/setbacks or problems that may arise;
Work in accordance to the quality system and processes of the company;
Be punctual at all times;
Adhere to the company’s health and safety requirements and complete training as required.

Requirements

Experience gained in a Machining or Engineering or Manufacturing environment - most/all considered
You could be working as a Machine Operator / Machinist or Production Technician etc and wanting a change in role.
Keen to learn and grasp new skills
Career driven
Good communicator with the hunger and drive to be successful
Strong team player - This company promote teamwork and it is imperative part of the role.
