Our client based in near Ulverston are looking for a Production Team Member to start immediately and work with them for an immediate start on an ongoing basis. You will work 40 hours a week - Monday to Thursday - 6.00am to 16:30pm. The standard hourly rate is £10.42 per hour.

Responsibilities will include:

When operating a machine - As part of the team, be responsible for:

  • Ensuring the right raw materials are used in the production process
  • Set up, adjust and run machines at the optimum level so that they produce quality products
  • Ensuring an effective start-up/shut down to ensure all routine checks are complete

When packing - As part of the team, be responsible for:

  • Ensuring all materials are ready for using when required
  • Label and pack product correctly and in a timely manner

Always:

  • Ensuring downtime is minimised
  • Resolving problems that stop or hinder the production or packing process and communicating with the team leader if this happens
  • Ensuring all required paperwork/recording of information is accurate and completed on time
  • Wearing the appropriate level of PPE and operating the machinery safely
  • Ensuring the Standard Operating Procedures are followed
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the work area
  • Commit to the company Values, Policies, Procedures & Objectives
  • Any other duties as required from time to time

Production Team Member requirements

This is a manual role which involves some lifting and manual handling and standing throughout the day. A strong work ethic and flexible attitude and approach to work is expected. Company values are important to our client so they'll expect you to commit to them and live them every day. You should ideally be based within easy travelling distance of near Ulverston in Cumbria.
