Production Operative
Personnel Selection Andover are recruiting for a company based locally within the area. Our client would like one to two additional Upholstery Assemblers join their existing team. Full training offered.
The role is to help in the assistance of stripping old furniture down and re-building furniture after it has returned from being upholstered. You will be assembling using air compression tools and equipment. You may also be required to help out in the machining section and other areas where needed. You do not have had to work in a similar environment before, however you will be required to meet the following to be considered for the role
To be considered for the role you need to meet the following criteria;
- Can demonstrate a strong previous working history in a hands on manufacturing, assembly or production environment.
- Can use hand tools and equipment.
- Physically fit as this is a manual role.
- Able to use power tools confidently.
- Happy to work with glues and resins.
- Be fit and healthy as lots of bending, kneeling and lifting involved.
- Confident with sharp tools and cutting equipment.
- Handling textiles and fabrics would be advantageous but not essential.
