Production operative
GI Group are looking for an experienced Production operative to join one of our clients based in Lytham.
Working both independently and as part of a team to operate a range of machinery to produce a variety of metal materials with manual and automated equipment, to a high quality standard meeting hourly production targets.
Job Details
Monday - Thursday
37 hours a week
£12.50 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintaining high quality standards at all times for standard and bespoke products
* Proactive communication with supervisors, managers and Quality Control regarding production,
quality and H&S issues.
* Maintaining a clean and tidy work area
* Maintaining H&S standards following instructions and wearing of appropriate PPE
General Requirements
* Previous experience of working in an engineering sheet metal production
* Regular quality checks
* Following internal processes
* Completing paperwork
* Understanding of basic IT
* Previous experience obtained in a manufacturing environment
* Practical awareness of lean manufacturing and understanding of 5S activities
* Ideally with experience of Mechanical presses, Spot welding with general understanding of sheet
metal processing
* Understanding of Engineering drawings
