Our client, based in Washington, is looking for an Operator to join their Workshop. The candidate will provide support to the workshop and operations teams and will be involved in the following duties:

  • Assembly and preparation of parts
  • Testing and repair work
  • Fitting and setting
  • Working from Engineering/Technical drawings
  • Welding and soldering
  • Working to SOPs and KPIs
  • Adhering to Health, Safety and Quality standards
  • Promote a positive team culture throughout the workshop

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate must have an Engineering and/or Manufacturing background, with evidence of stability throughout working career
  • Some exposure to an Engineering environment would be highly advantageous
  • Excellent attention to detail as the work can require a dexterous approach
  • Good team player but also confident at working individually

NB: The role is permanent, with the first 3-6 months (probation period) working through the agency, KES Solutions. Pay rate for the first 12 weeks is £11.44 per hour, following 12 consecutive weeks of work the pay rate will increase to £11.92 per hour.
