Production Manager

The Role: Production Manager Basildon Based £40,000 - £45,000

Our client is a dynamic and forward-thinking business with a diverse international customer base across sectors/industries who offer professional tailored engineering-based solutions to help their customers meet the requirements they have for their own products.

This is a role that requires some almost daily 'hands-on’ involvement. The successful candidate will lead and be part of a team of 3 or 4 engineers involved in all aspects of the assembly process, including configuring and testing a range of laser marking/cutting devices. This person will also manage stock including planning and ordering via an in-house buyer as well as report weekly to the Directors.

Essential skills and requirements

It is essential to have a thorough understanding of mechanics/electronics and an aptitude with software as well as the ability to manage staff and deliver results to ISO9001 and other quality processes.

Attention to detail is critical as is the ability to follow instructions and approved build processes

As a deadline driven business it’s essential this person can work well under pressure and understands the needs to deliver performance in line with the KPI of the business

Ideally at least 3 years proven experience in a similar role and within 30 minutes commute of Basildon.

Due to the administration and customer liaison elements to this role, it is also essential the successful candidate has strong people skills with the ability to communicate effectively over the phone and by email.

Full training will be given. Must have own transport.

The Package

• £40,000 - £45,000 Depending on experience
• Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
• 20 days holiday + Public Holidays increasing by +1 day for each year of service to a max of +5 days
