We are recruiting for a dynamic Production Manager to join our prestigious client at their Birmingham facility. As the Production Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the intricate processes involved in coin and medal production. Your primary responsibilities will encompass coordinating production schedules, ensuring adherence to quality standards, and guiding a team of skilled professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategising and coordinating production schedules to optimise efficiency
  • Evaluating project requirements and resource needs
  • Collaborating with clients and managers to establish realistic budgets and timelines
  • Enforcing compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Setting and maintaining rigorous quality control benchmarks
  • Supervising and directing production operations
  • Flexibly adjusting schedules as circumstances dictate
  • Procuring necessary materials and equipment
  • Arranging for equipment maintenance and repairs
  • Facilitating communication between production, sales, and marketing teams
  • Providing leadership and guidance to junior staff members
  • Organising training sessions to enhance team skills

Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in managing production processes and teams
  • Familiarity with contemporary metal manufacturing techniques
  • Strong organisational and project management capabilities
  • Meticulous attention to detail and adept problem-solving skills
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet demanding deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production management software
  • Effective communication and leadership acumen
  • Preferred experience with power and hydraulic presses
  • Ideally, a background in engineering or manufacturing
  • Bonus points for experience in the numismatic industry and familiarity with lean manufacturing techniques.
