Production Manager

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 plus car allowance

Summary

At Bis Henderson, we are seeking a hands-on Production Manager to lead the operations within a growing FMCG manufacturing business. Reporting into the Managing Director, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimising the manufacturing processes to ensure the efficient and timely production of products in line with strict deadlines.

As a Production Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of dedicated production professionals and coordinating activities to meet production goals while maintaining the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will be a charismatic leader with a strong drive and ambition, able to lead the operations in the right direction to achieve growth goals.

This role is working Monday - Friday days, and immediate availability is desirable.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands while optimising resource utilisation.
• Lead the team with a hands-on approach to operate in line with company processes, whilst developing and coaching staff to achieve their full potential.
• Continuously evaluate and improve production processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste, whilst maintaining quality standards.
• Finding root cause of any issues and fixing them.
• Maintain adequate inventory levels to meet production demands while minimising excess stock.
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring customers receive a first-class service.
• Implement and enforce safety procedures to create a safe working environment.

Key Skills/Experience

• Proven experience within a similar role, within a FMCG manufacturing environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Hold a continuous improvement mind-set and experience implementing lean techniques.
• Hands on approach and effective problem solver.
• Effective people management skills, able to develop the team whilst ensuring compliance to Health & Safety and budget requirements.
• Highly ambitious and hands-on character, looking to grow with the business.
