Production Leader

Job Title: Production Leader            

Salary: £26,000 - £27,000 DOE

Location: Paignton, Devon               

Type: Permanent

Hours:  Monday – Friday (8am – 5pm)

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions, operating as an employment agency, are currently recruiting for a Production Leader for our manufacturing client based in Paignton on a full-time permanent contract.
The successful candidate will drive and lead the production team to optimise the processes and procedures to provide structure to deliver a first-class experience across all products and channels.

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Plan and lead daily production activities ensuring all KPIs are met
• Plan production builds.
• Prioritising of builds
• Raising of build plans
• Picking of stock required
• Delegating the builds to the production team
• Ensuring completed build plans are complete on the ERP system and end storage
• Ensuring the required level of finished stock is available on the shelf.
• Attend production meetings with the production team
• Assist on the production line where required
• Ensure any business-related objectives are communicated with the production team
• Ensure that staff are always motivated through direction, coaching, and encouragement and assist in the management of a harmonious environment
• To set controls and monitor performance of the production team, acting upon any issues where necessary
• To ensure that all employees go about their jobs with a sense of urgency and the required level of professionalism, and to carry out disciplinary action where necessary with assistance from HR.

Skills and experience sought

• Proven work experience within Production/Manufacturing industry at Team Leader/Supervisor Level
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Strong team leader
• Previous use of stock management systems
• Knowledge in the Microsoft Office Package
• Knowledge and experience in 5S and continuous improvement
