Job Role: Production and Logistics Controller
Location: Sheffield, S35
Shift: 8.00 - 16.30 (Mon to Thu) and 8.00 -14.30 (Fri)
Salary: £25K + DOE

Metalis is working in partnership with a well-established manufacturing company in Sheffield who due to continuous growth are looking to hire a Production and Logistics Controller

This is a dual role designed to support the production team with data and information, and to manage inbound and outbound movements of products

Job Duties:

Production

• The maintenance and creation of "Works order/Job Travellers" to support the production schedule
• Fault finding/auditing and adherence to company quality standards and procedures.
• General purchasing of products, services and approval of purchases orders
• The generation of Purchase Orders
• The responsibility to manage auditable stock, providing support to the stores department.
• Tendering the requirements for "Raw Materials" in line with the requirements of the production plan and MRP system.
• Ensuring specifications are in line with the requirements of customers.
• The arranging of transport to despatch/collect goods.
• The creation of NCRs to counteract any issues found.
• The ongoing management of all external subcontractors

Logistics

• Provide a strong service to our internal Production Team and customer base via clear and concise communication methods
• Monitoring and tracking transport providers performance, writing up reports to illustrate progression/performance and opportunities to improve.
• Involved relationship with the despatch team is required to fully ensure that compliance and objects are met.
• Attend planning and scheduling meetings as required
• Maintain accurate records of movement and traceability

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working in engineering environment
• Ideally previous experience working in an similar role
• Attention to detail
