Product Manager

At British Gypsum we are looking for an experienced Product Marketing Manager to join our team based in East Leake to help create and deliver portfolio plans.

This role will be working in our product portfolio team and will be the champion of our product range, The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring our product range has the required focus, resource, and commitment from the business. You will develop and deliver plans that improve the growth and profitability of the range whilst also playing an integral role in influencing & delivering to the target portfolio strategy.

What we're looking for:

• An experienced Product Marketing Manager
• Someone who enjoys working collaboratively.
• Proven experience of portfolio management
• Ability to understand the strategic needs of the business and to prioritize accordingly.

What you will be doing:

• Utilizing the 4 pillars of product management to create and deliver portfolio plans.
• Regular monthly reporting and analysis to inform plans and identify any gaps requiring additional resource and activity.
• From the portfolio audit and analysis (as above) manage the marketing mix activities, using the levers of product, price, place, and promotion to drive growth and/or profitability of your portfolio.
• Liaise with sector colleagues including sales, Systems Manager and Head of Sector Development to keep abreast of sector and customers within.
• Competitor bench-marking analysis of company capabilities and their specific products against BG variants. Identify threats and opportunities for the category to adopt.
• Work with technical to own the process for customer needs-based house of quality (HOQ) for category offer. Use this information to ensure current and future range offer is viable, ensuring customer and BG needs are met
