Product Manager - Sports Nutrition

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Product Manager has arisen for our client a respected and international company that specialises with Ingredients across the World. This requires a very experienced candidate who will be dealing with a significant number of products. It requires a knowledgeable individual with the right expertise to provide support to the wider team and this will include the following activities.

• Managing $10 - $15 million of products per annum, with the expectation of growing this to $25-$30 million
• Review all contract balances & expired contracts including up to the end of the following month. Highlight those where we have no follow on contracts & work commercial team to decide whether to cancel/extend them
• Update monthly price list accordingly
• Inbox - checking own inbox and secondary and tertiary PM inbox late morning & early afternoon each day to approve anything urgent or highlight any issues
• Quote directly to sales and customers, for own products and secondary support products do it where applicable especially during holidays/travel etc.
• Calculate forward stock positions & stock limits
• Push for projects and assist on quoting and sampling of those nominating products
• Liaise with Logistics department to make sure allocations, export shipments and imports are done on time and correctly considering the aged inventory as a priority
• Allocate product to the different entities where needed
• Maintaining customer records and manage different customers
• Confirm orders to customers
• Preparing quotations for customers/helping preparing tenders
• Assisting with lead qualifications and other opportunities
• Collaborate with the Commercial team in developing new products, whit ingredients that have been identified as complementary to our portfolio.
• Monitoring shipments, liaise with origin, on pending PO’s
• Update market prices to the sales team
• Liaise with Quality and Accounts on (customer’s request setting up new products, questionnaires, non- conformances)
• Work with the marketing team to research by products, regions or brands.
• Research companies/products or information on the internet and report back to the PM
• Also may research by ingredients to help in new product development
• Cover when PM or sales while on holidays
• Travel with PM’s and sales and customers visits as necessary
• Any other duties at the manager’s discretion

The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment and have good business communication skills. A self motivator, aiming to learn and grow within the company. Must have previous experience with Sports Nutrition/Amino Acids. Be able to fit easily in a multi-cultural and multi-functional team. Not afraid to take the initiative and a responsible self starter. Excellent written and oral English. Another European language will be an advantage. Excellent benefits/hybrid role.
