We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Category Specialist to join our team. This role involves contributing to the development and implementation of a Category Strategy for assigned spend categories, aligning with business objectives and driving efficiency's. Key Accountability's:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Category Strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Execute strategic sourcing activities in alignment with approved category strategies and preferred suppliers list.
  • Support contractual and commercial management, ensuring compliance with company policies and directives.
  • Assist in Supplier Relationship Management for key suppliers, including contract management and risk identification.
  • Monitor supplier performance and secure commercial compensation for non-compliance.
  • Prepare and assist with external management review meetings with segmented suppliers.
  • Drive operational efficiency in alignment with Supply Chain Processes and Strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to company standards related to environmental, sustainability, health, safety, security, quality, and ethics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of Category Strategies to deliver cost-effective solutions.
  • Manage supplier base and classification to secure competition.
  • Deliver Category targets and KPIs for assigned spend categories.
  • Implement ways of working according to AWE Category Management Framework.
  • Conduct business intelligence and benchmarking to support category development.
  • Secure and track cost reduction, contract management, and continuity of Supply Chain.
  • Prepare and execute the RFx process, including supplier evaluation and selection.
  • Ensure competitive initial and total cost development in the product and service life cycle.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of contracts, ensuring compliance and contract administration.
  • Support the management of commercial risks and forecast spend with key stakeholders.
  • Segment and manage suppliers according to AWE Supplier Relationship Management Framework.
  • Monitor and mitigate supplier risks, making corrective action plans as necessary.
  • Develop supplier strategies for key suppliers within assigned spend categories.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure their involvement in category strategies and sourcing activities.
