Our client who are an international corporate group operating in the rail, energy, products and eMobility business segments are on the search for a procurement specialist to join their busy team in Coatbridge. The ideal candidate will be MCIPS qualified and will be well-versed purchasing sub-contract services within the rail or civil engineering industries.

Procurement Specialist
Job Description
  • Carry out the subcontract and tender procurement process ensuring that as a business the subcontractor has everything in place to be able to work with the business.
  • Preparation of ITT’s, obtain quotations/tenders, Subcontracts.
  • Complete supplier evaluations for designated procurement exercises as required when bids are returned.
  • Complete supplier negotiations and post tender/quotation meetings as required to enable short listing of suppliers.
  • Ensure that projects do not start prior to the contracts being signed and agreed.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualification
  • Experience carrying out a similar procurement position within the rail or civil engineering industries.
  • Well-versed dealing with subcontractors.
  • Strong engineering knowledge/the ability to interpret and see BOM’s (bills of material).
