Do you have experience working within a procurement role. Are you looking for an exciting new challenge? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you! Our client who are an international corporate group operating in the rail, energy, products and eMobility business segments are on the search for a procurement specialist to join their busy team in Coatbridge. The ideal candidate will be MCIPS qualified and will be well-versed purchasing sub-contract services within the rail or civil engineering industries.

Procurement Specialist
Job Description
  • Carry out the subcontract and tender procurement process ensuring that as a business the subcontractor has everything in place to be able to work with the business.
  • Preparation of ITT’s, obtain quotations/tenders, Subcontracts.
  • Complete supplier evaluations for designated procurement exercises as required when bids are returned.
  • Complete supplier negotiations and post tender/quotation meetings as required to enable short listing of suppliers.
  • Ensure that projects do not start prior to the contracts being signed and agreed.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualification
  • Experience carrying out a similar procurement position within the rail or civil engineering industries.
  • Well-versed dealing with subcontractors.
  • Strong engineering knowledge/the ability to interpret and see BOM’s (bills of material).
