Role: Procurement Specialist

Location: Hybrid - 3 days in Brierley Hill

Salary: competitive + commission

Summary:

An award-winning Consultancy are looking for a Procurement Specialist to join their growing commercial team providing energy management services. Your primary objective is to exceed customer expectations by facilitating the seamless renewal of contracts for their energy supplies and associated services. Your role entails proactively advocating their services, showcasing their value proposition through consistent and dependable delivery, and accelerating renewals. To be successful in this role, you must possess a keen commercial acumen and excel in fostering robust relationships, coupled with a demonstrated track record in negotiating with both suppliers and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Renewal of a varied portfolio of group customers
  • Match customer requirements with appropriate product offerings, including cross-selling
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely pricing, including producing relevant documentation for signature and providing insights on price, service and market updates
  • Manage the acceptance process and support successful registration of supplies
  • Promote, sell and participate in flexible buying groups where relevant and appropriate
  • Continuously review your portfolio to identify opportunities, risks, and successes
  • Maintain up to date records using the appropriate systems and processes including notice of termination, non-termination fees and lost records
  • Demonstrate high retention rates and customer satisfaction scores
  • Actively identify new business opportunities within your portfolio
  • Work in collaboration with the service team and where relevant act as a point of contact for the customer
  • Comply with updates to company procedures as a result of technology upgrades, process improvements, industry regulations, etc.

Essential Criteria:

  • Experience working to targets associated with the delivery of your role
  • Consultative sales approach
  • Understanding of both gas and electricity supplies and experience working in the industry
  • Sales experience
  • Pleasant and confident telephone manner
  • Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Full UK driving license and a willingness to visit customers and regional offices
  • Ability to visit customers at short notice
