Salary: £55,000 pro rataLocation: The role is based In Harlow, Essex at the Motability Foundation's offices, easily commutable from London, 30 minutes from Liverpool Street station or 18 minutes from Tottenham Hale station. The Motability Foundation provides grant toward the cost of driving lessons for people who qualify through the Motability Scheme, including specialist instruction on the use of heavily adapted vehicles as part of a persons everyday mobility. Driving lessons are currently provided through a service contract with the AA Driving School. This contract is due for renewal in January 2025.This role is a Fixed Term Contract for six months to oversee the procurement and contracting of an appropriate service provider through an open tender exercise following the Motability Foundation Procurement Policy and recognised best practice. What you'll be doing: Oversee an effective procurement process through to contract of a service provider, to run our Driving Lesson provision in line with the requirements of our Driving Lesson Grant Programme. Advise and guide the team on procurement best practice and ensure compliance with our internal procurement policy. Maintain a full procurement audit trail, including all relevant correspondence, bidders responses, evaluations, interactions with bidders and accurate records of internal and external discussions. Establishing the parameters for and leading on the tender evaluation of all responses received. Taking a proactive approach to risk management, identifying and capturing risks, identifying and discussing mitigations, reporting and, escalating when necessary. Performing any other reasonable duties as directed. What will make you great in this role? You will have a strong track record of successfully delivering procurement projects. You will be a team player, with previous experience of leading successful procurement projects. You will understand and demonstrate the need for accurate record keeping, following a clear procurement workplan and providing relevant reports to the Motability Foundation team.You will be expected to work to our values, being collaborative, respectful and evolving and as such, fully contribute to team initiatives and team meetings, helping others and treating everyone fairly and with respect.Your experienceMust haves: Strong and proven knowledge of procurement and contract management. Previous demonstrable experience of running procurement of service contracts up to £10M. Communication and stakeholder engagement skills Nice to haves: Previous experience of undertaking procurement within or on behalf of charities/foundations. Member of or working towards Membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) would be advantageous. Direct reports: none Extra InformationMotability Foundation operate blended working arrangement, which can be agreed with your line manager, you must be able and willing to work from our Harlow office at least three days per week.
