We are now looking for a Procurement Manager join our team in Middlesborough on a full-time, permanent basis.

You will be a catalyst for our growth, playing a critical role in our year-on-year expansion as we are planning to triple in size over the next few years.

Not only have we created a team committee to discuss, action and implement changes, we also undertake a monthly Net Zero meeting with a representative from each department.

The Role

As a Procurement Manager, you will take on a strategic senior management role, ensuring the material, equipment and services are effectively sourced and procured. You will also manage our partners; companies from which we purchase and loan.

Forging long-standing relationships, you will strategically challenge agreements to navigate the current competitive market, ensuring we have supply chain reliability and can achieve our target profit margins.

You will confidently deliver on bespoke and ad-hoc requirements for our clients within strict SLAs, ensuring that our partners provide effective machine solutions at the best price. Actioning issues related to drops in service, you will address missed SLAs with relevant partners and work to prevent future issues from arising.

Creating plans for future growth, you will ensure the department can be scaled as required and future reports and team members can be developed and progressed as required.

Additionally, you will:

- Forecast order cycles
- Work closely with our project team
- Identify and implement new processes
- Work with existing partner and identify new business opportunities
- Manage the quality of incoming materials and equipment
- Source and sustain supply chain for parts and materials

About You

To be considered as a Procurement Manager, you will need:

- Procurement experience in manufacturing or engineering
- Outsourcing experience
- Relationship management experience, ensuring the best deal is obtained, in terms of cost, lead time and service
- Technical knowledge of manufacturing in any context
- The ability to read CAD drawings
- Professional exposure to accountancy software, ideally Sage
- To be CIPS qualified
