Role: Procurement Manager £50 - £60K

Location: Southwest London

Salary: £60,000 - £70,000

This role gives you the chance to join the worlds fastest growing airport generating £2.9 billion in revenue which represents a 140% uplift on 2021 and a procurement function that was nominated for the Sustainability Procurement Project of the Year by CIPS in 2023. This is a business with sustainability at the heart of their ethos. Their policy of Connecting People and Planet is targeting a 15% reduction in airside carbon emissions, 18% in NOx emissions, and 45% ground side carbon in the immediate future. As a key member of the supply chain, you will play a pivotal role in making these aspirations a reality.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Placement and management of robust contractual documentation including drafting and negotiation, liaising with contract and legal departments, contract assurance and support services including the delivery of all centralised contract amendments
  • Maintaining well-informed effective category plans and developing innovative strategies which will be presented to relevant senior stakeholders, using creative commercial models, market leading technology and trends that will drive regulatory compliance and a competitive edge for the business
  • Constructively challenging business plans and strategy documents to ensure robustness of approach that maximises commercial opportunity and mitigates risk.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience in a variety of Procurement and Contracting models and environments using a range of reimbursement models
  • Experience delivering multiple projects to meet business affordability targets and achievement of Key Performance Indicators through strong Supplier & Stakeholder Relationship Management
  • Demonstrable Contract and Supplier Management Experience
  • Working knowledge of Aviation and associated supply chain(s)
  • Understanding of a complex airport operation with an appreciation for its interdependencies across the organisation representing Procurement
  • Experience with contractual documentation including bespoke contracts, NEC based or similar industry standard contracts and relevant negotiation and drafting
