Job Title: Procurement & Business Operations Lead
Location: Gloucestershire
Job Type: Full-time


Concept - IT is partnering a dynamic and growing Technology organisation who are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement Professional to lead their small Procurement and Business Operations team.
Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced Procurement candidate who possesses not only strong procurement expertise but also excellent leadership skills to manage a small administrative team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the procurement processes, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring the efficiency of our administrative operations.


Key Responsibilities:


Procurement Management:


  • Develop and implement effective procurement strategies.

  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.

  • Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.

  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.


Team Leadership:


  • Manage and lead a small administrative team.

  • Provide guidance and mentoring to team members.

  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

  • Coordinate team activities to achieve departmental goals.


Process Improvement:


  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within procurement and administrative functions.

  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Streamline work-flows to optimise resource utilisation.


Compliance:


  • Ensure procurement activities adhere to relevant laws and regulations.

  • Monitor and enforce compliance with company policies and procedures.



Qualifications & Skills:


  • Proven experience in procurement with a focus on strategic sourcing.

  • Previous experience procuring IT and/or IT Services.

  • Previous leadership experience managing an administrative team.

  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Customer and solutions focused

  • Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
