Procurement/Contracts Officer

Join a growing and supportive award-winning business in Doncaster! Seeking a driven, forward-thinking individual who is ready to take the next steps in their career journey. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing, developing, and maintaining both internal and external relationships while taking full ownership of supplier management.

Work Hours: Full-time

Salary: £26-28,000K

Duties include.

  • assisting with negotiating existing and new business contracts.
  • Establishing, developing, and maintaining internal and external relationships.
  • Supplier management
  • vendor selection, negotiation, and ongoing relationship management.
  • Working closely with the finance team to develop and implement procurement controls aimed at optimising efficiency and minimising risk.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations and legislation.
  • Collaborating with the finance team to develop reporting functions aimed at measuring and analysing company spending.
  • Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement function.

The ideal candidate:

Looking for someone with drive, passion, and self-motivation to control, monitor and develop procurement.

  • Proven experience in procurement, supplier management, purchasing or a finance-related role.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Solid understanding of procurement processes, controls, and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel
