My client is looking to recruit a Procurement Co-Ordinator who will be responsible for the sourcing of all materials and services following an internal Procurement Policy. This position is initially offered on an 18 month fixed term contract.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Undertake Invitation to Tender sourcing using PCR regulations and ensure the correct procedure is taken
  • Have a good understanding of Terms and Conditions (T&C) and knowledge of UK Contract Law working in conjunction with the Paralegal department
  • Negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms, mitigate risk and provide continuous supply of goods and services without compromise to quality or supply.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, providing support, guidance and expertise in sourcing goods and services for departmental and sites requirements.
  • Create spend reports and analyse the data.
  • Provide supplier credit and background checks
  • Determining supply needs and researching potential suppliers
  • Sourcing suppliers/vendors
  • Documenting the features and benefits of products and services via comparison reports
  • Preparing cost-benefit analysis reports for review by managers
  • Documenting processes and generating monthly spend reports
  • Monitoring the company's demand for products to avoid supply shortages
  • Keeping up to date with industry trends

Previous experience in procurement alongside a basic understanding of contracts and UK law, strong analytical and negotiation skills and advanced MS office and excel skills are key to success.

In return, you will be given a basic salary of between £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, with enhanced pension contribution, onsite parking and benefits.
