Procurement Category Manager - Net Zero

An award-winning procurement organisation in Warrington is seeking an experienced procurement manager / category manager with a strong background in either net zero, decarbonisation or sustainability, to join their growing team. Your new role
As Category Manager, you will lead and manage net zero carbon related spend across all the company's customers and supplier base. The role will provide expertise in both procurement and supply chain management within the net zero category. The role requires the development and delivery of strategies for growth across a diverse range of products and services and providing advice and support to customers in the establishment of contracts, specifically focusing on commercial and customer benefits. The role requires a capacity for project management, analysis, leadership, teamwork and initiative.

You will support the delivery of tailored procurement solutions and will manage the full end to end tendering process within this category. You'll effectively manage and engage with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally, so you will need to be a confident communicator.

What you'll need to succeed

• Ideally, you will have prior procurement experience gained within the public sector or social housing sector
• YOU MUST HAVE prior experience in net zero carbon, decarbonisation, or net zero retrofit contracts
• Ideally, you will be MCIPS qualified or working towards CIPS qualification
• Strong commercial skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
