Procurement Category Manager - Medical

Your new company
Do you want to work for a large-scale private sector insurance business in London which has undergone major procurement transformation in the last year? This company is a key client of ours, and they are currently expanding their procurement team, working under a CPO who is passionate about training and development within the team.
This organisation has a few key business units, one of which you will sit in looking at the category strategy and execution of medical categories.

Your new role
In this Procurement Category Manager role, you will be responsible for a growing portfolio of medical sites, reporting to the Head of Procurement. You will be creating and delivering strategic category plans which include; understanding and identifying business requirements for medical services and equipment, sourcing, contract negotiation and contract award. In this Category Manager role, you are not only responsible for renewals of existing medical equipment and services, you will also be leading in the discovery of new products and supplier partnerships.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will have prior experience of the private sector medical industry. You will need to understand the terminology around products and services in this space to best engage with your stakeholders and suppliers. You must have experience developing category plans, not just simply buying products.
