Processing Plant Operative

Location: Matlock

Salary: Dependant on experience

Hours: Monday - Saturday lunchtime on a rotating 8 hour shift pattern to include days and nights

Longcliffe Quarries Ltd was established in 1927, it is one of the very few independent hard rock quarries left in England, and one of the largest which is still family owned.

We employ over 180 people, some of whose forebears also worked for the company, and we’re proud of the fact that many others have been with us for more than 25 years.

The Role

Longcliffe Quarries are actively looking for Processing Plant Operatives to join our dedicated team. The role is based on a rotating shift pattern reporting to the Processing Supervisor.

Main Duties:

  • Responsible for the safe operation of the Processing Plants, SHE, Plant inspections & internal vehicle movements
  • Good understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental Practices
  • Operating processing plants
  • Internal transfers using articulated vehicles
  • Operating mobile plant
  • Ensuring suitable cover for the shift pattern
  • Working with key departments associated with the processing operation

Skills & Qualifications

  • Basic IT Skills
  • Good Communication
  • Flexibility to undertake a wide range of tasks
  • Attend appropriate training courses
  • Willingness to learn

Full training will be given to the successful candidate.
