Job Title: Process Engineer

Location: Kingswinford

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Murray Myers are representing a client in Kingswinford seeking an Process Engineer with a passion for challenging the status quo and driving operational improvements within a sheet metal environment. As part of this role, you'll be instrumental in translating innovative ideas into actionable strategies while fostering collaboration across departments. By establishing robust relationships, you'll ensure alignment with their expectations and maintain operational excellence.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement practices, routines, and solutions to enhance productivity and product quality within the sheet metal environment.
- Oversee, evaluate, and enhance existing processes and workflows to optimize efficiency.
- Prepare comprehensive process documentation and operating instructions to streamline workflows.
- Establish and manage a planned preventative maintenance schedule to minimize unplanned downtime and enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Devise, test, and implement new strategies to drive productivity improvements.
- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement upgrades accordingly.
- Champion a culture of LEAN and 5S standards throughout the organization to promote efficiency and organization.
- Establish a framework for receiving improvement suggestions, identifying business requirements, and prioritizing improvement projects.
- Facilitate the gathering and analysis of process-related data to address issues and drive continuous improvement.
- Lead and coach line teams in the implementation of operational improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with various departments to disseminate best practices and ensure consistent application of processes.
- Provide support for the implementation of systems and software upgrades.
- Maintain up-to-date Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in accordance with industry best practices.
- Maintain a comprehensive catalogue of standard product specifications to uphold quality procedures.

Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment.
- Demonstrable experience in driving business transformation initiatives.
