Private Client Solicitor

Location: Stafford

Hours: Full Time

Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum DOE

Primary Responsibilities Include:

You will manage your own caseload and have experience of dealing with all types of private client matters including: Trusts Tax planning Wills and inheritance Estate administration. Alongside fee-earning responsibilities, you will also be responsible for assisting our Private Client department head and have experience in generating new leads. This is an exciting opportunity which will offer stimulating work in a supportive and friendly environment. It will also entail;

  • Dealing with complex and time-sensitive matters
  • Taking new instructions
  • Legal Research
  • Advocacy
  • Dealing with new enquiries and converting to Instruction
  • Networking and Business Development


About the Person:

To be a successful candidate for this role you must also have the following attributes, skills and experience:

  • Ideally be a fully qualified solicitor with 3+ PQE within the private client area of law
  • Confident in running own caseload
  • Be commercially astute, understanding the importance of business targets and their impact to the practice.
  • Have excellent levels of communication, both written and verbal
  • Have a good academic record; training with a leading national or regional firm is an advantage.
  • Have strong IT skills
  • Have experience managing your own caseload of privately funded work
  • Demonstrate initiative and the drive to produce a high standard of service to our clients
  • Possess high levels of speed and accuracy
  • Be highly organized, methodical and adaptable
  • Commercially driven
  • Have a proven ability to bring in work and be confident in business development
