Role Overview: As a Prison GP Cover, you will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive healthcare services to individuals within correctional facilities. This role requires a high level of clinical expertise, as you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a wide range of medical conditions, conducting health assessments, and managing chronic illnesses. Your role will also involve providing emergency care, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and promoting health education and prevention initiatives within the prison setting.

Requirements:
  • Fully qualified General Practitioner with active registration and license to practice
  • Previous experience working within a prison healthcare setting is essential
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse patient populations
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and promoting health equity
