Print Finishing Operator

Print Finishing Operator. My client based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire are looking for a Finishing Operator but my client would also consider a guillotine operator. You must have previous experience working within a print finishing department utilising folders, binders and guillotines. Please note this role will be on shift pattern of 2 weeks at 06:00 -13:30 and then 2 weeks at 13:30 - 21:00.

Key Accountabilities:

• Reduction of machine down time for make-readies and breakdowns
• Reduction of running times, while still ensuring quality, as measured against quoted targets
• Reduction of waste in respect of reprints as monitored by Reprint Analysis
• To understand every job and follow lists to ensure all work completed
• To finish every job within allocated time scales and to a high quality, ensuring quality file copies separated and labelled on every job
• To box and label every job and prepare it for dispatch
• To implement maintenance tasks to plan
• To be responsible for general cleanliness of the finishing department as a part of the daily routine
• To liaise with the Finishing Supervisor to ensure work is completed as required.
