Print Finisher

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a Print Finisher to join their production department.

Location: Sutton in Ashfield

Salary: £13.84 - £15.25 per hour (based on experience and including shift allowance)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

About the Client:

Our client is an industry leading print business and a pioneer within the marketing and communications side of the industry. Based at their Nottingham facility, they are currently seeking Print Finishers to work within their busy production department.

Print Finisher – The Role:

They are looking for candidates who have experience operating Polar guillotines, MBO folders, Heidelberg Cylinders, Heidelberg Stitchers. Full training is provided if your experience is within other areas of finishing.

You must be able to commit to working rotating weekly shifts – 6am – 1:30pm (Mon-Fri) 1:30pm-9pm (Mon-Fri) and 9pm-6am (Mon-Fri). Candidates who are only interested in the night shift will also be considered.

Print Finisher – Key Responsibilities:

- To gain a full knowledge of the range of print finishing equipment operated by the department

- Undertake support tasks as required by the Finishing Manager

- To help to achieve team and individual targets as set by the Finishing Manager

- Maintain a tidy and clean work area ensuring that the work area is kept in a clean and orderly manner

- Understand and adhere to the company policies and procedures with particular emphasis on quality and health and safety

Print Finisher – You:

- A successful proven record and experience of finishing equipment

- Has the ability to manage expectations around timescales and deliverables

- Has a proactive approach to work – always willing to learn and working to improve processes to ensure business efficiency

- Can communicate effectively and build rapport with all departments across the business and with external suppliers

- Be flexible with their attitude towards work and task allocation, ensuring client demands are met at all times

- Good attention to detail - making sure all documentation is complete & accurate

- Good time keeping and attendance

- Flexible regarding overtime to cover sickness and holidays

Due to this role working in a secure environment, candidates will be subject to a financial and DBS check prior to onboarding.
