Our client, a leading company in the rail industry, is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer to join their team based in Stockport. As the Principal Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality rail projects, ensuring the reliability and safety of the rail systems.

• Leading the development and implementation of systems engineering activities
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define project requirements
• Developing and managing system integration plans
• Conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Mentoring and providing technical guidance to junior engineers

The successful candidate will have proven experience in the Railway Signalling Industry, with a working knowledge of Solid State Interlocking Systems. An in-depth knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations is also required along with a good level of knowledge of systems engineering principles.
