Principal Structural Design Engineer
Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for a Principal Structural Engineer to join an Engineering and Data Analytics Consultancy, on a permanent staff basis in Gloucester.
As the selected candidate, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and ensuring that Structural designs meet quality and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver multiple projects or parts of larger projects to completion
- Ensure the provision of efficient, high-quality Structural Engineering design
- Attend design team meetings and lead them if required
- Develop scopes of work and delivery programmes
- Offer support and guidance to more junior members
- Build client relationships and help identify business opportunities
- Review Structural Engineering analysis and design to Eurocodes and British Standards
- Carry out structural surveys
Key Requirements:
- A Chartered Engineer status or working towards
- A degree in Engineering or similar field
- Experience in the design of building structures to British Standards and Eurocodes
- Proven experience in developing projects from concept to construction
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Prior experience in actively managing clients
- Ability to manage and work to budget and program
- Experience in successfully leading the Structural Engineering delivery of projects
- The ability to make decisions and act on your own initiative
- Able to inspect works carried out on-site
