What the day will look like

As a key member of the Health Solutions for Multinationals (HSM) UK leadership team, you'll be tasked with developing and delivering strategy and vision for the practice. You will specialise in our Growing Multinationals (GMC) segment and play a leading role in the ongoing development of the GMC proposition and its delivery to our clients.

The role is exceptionally varied including:

  • Managing a team of consultants, currently 4 but will continue to grow
  • Managing and delivering multiple projects simultaneously, from conception to completion
  • Playing an active role in sales, working closely with the EMEA & UK Sales teams
  • On-boarding new clients and ensuring the implementation process runs smoothly
  • Driving greater operational efficiencies in the team
  • Work in an Aon United way across the GMC portfolio, drive collaboration between the HSM teams in the UK and globally, working with our local Health Solutions network teams across the globe and across UK solution lines
  • Delivering the agreed revenue and margin targets for the GMC team on an annual basis
  • Providing forecasts for the business to identify what is effective and what needs improvement in terms of pricing, process, and people

How this opportunity is different

The GMC proposition has been developing over the last few years and due to the success of the proposition, the team has recently grown. Due to the continued growth, there is an opportunity for you to shape the role going forward. You will be part of this dynamic and growing team and there is a strategic focus on this area. You will work across the globe collaborating across continents and cultures to build and grow client and colleague relationships.

This role involves leading a dedicated GMC  team which sits within the UK HSM team. This team focuses on providing consultancy services and support to growing global organisations and you are responsible for the revenue and growth targets in this team.

You will own the GMC proposition in the UK and help shape the proposition in country and across Aon globally.

You will lead a portfolio of clients, and take the lead in developing new business, working with the sales team on responses to tenders, presenting our services to prospects and identifying opportunities for the growth of the existing portfolio.

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • Working in a global employee benefits environment is essential
  • Solid understanding of core benefit programmes in particular risk and medical, and international employee benefits
  • Experience working with growing multinational organisations would be desirable
  • Proven track record of managing teams, with strong and inclusive people management and development skills
  • Lead change and find alternative ways of doing things, to think creatively and present new ideas
  • Managing complex, multi-country employee benefits-related projects and relationships
  • Client relationship skills, with experience of leading on client delivery and maintaining strong long-term client relationships
  • Effective communication and presentation skills as well as the ability to communicate with multiple external and internal parties
  • Proficient analytical and project management capabilities
  • Time management skills, successfully manage and prioritise numerous projects and deadlines simultaneously, in a fast-paced and time-sensitive environment
  • Network across a global firm with a global reach
  • Results orientated with a successful record of retention of clients and new business contribution
