My client, a specialist UK based Engineering Consultancy which specialises in Drainage, Civil and Flood Risk Engineering, is searching for a Principal Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer to join an established team based in Birmingham.

It is essential that applicants have a strong academic background in a relevant discipline including a BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering or Hydrology and experience working for a UK based Consultancy or Local Authority completing Flood Risk Assessments, Surface Water Drainage Strategies and Drainage Design using Microdrainage.

Candidates are also required to have a keen interest in utility, SuDS and attenuation design.

This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join an experienced team of Engineers to complete varied residential, commercial, industrial, utility and sewerage projects for Local Authorities, House Builders, Contractors and Private Sector Clients.

Applicants will also be supported to complete the following;

-Flood risk assessments for flood zones 1,2 and 3.

-Surface water management plans.

-Surface water and foul drainage strategies.

-Detailed design of surface water and foul water drainage systems using Causeway.

-SuDS Design using Microdrainage for residential tower blocks and greenfield developments.

-Drainage Impact Assessments.

-Flood Mitigation Schemes.

-You would have the chance to mentor team members and project management.
