Position Available: Principal Engineer - Building Services Engineering
Location: Stevenage - Dynamic Working Hours
Salary: Up to £60,000 + Paid Overtime, Company Bonus & Very Good Pension Package
Experience needed: Experience in building services design and mechanical engineering in particular. Working within a facilities or site management team would be the ideal background for this kind of role.

About the role

We are a leading defence company who are at the forefront of innovation in the industry and your work will have a direct impact on the safety and security of the UK & our allies. We are currently looking for a Principal Engineer - Building Services Engineering. In this role you will support the team in:

  • Preparing scope of works and performance specifications for planned maintenance.
  • Assessing mechanical and electrical asset condition
  • Managing 5-year maintenance budgets for planned maintenance works.
  • Carrying out ongoing and detailed assessments of the condition of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing services


What we need from you:

  • A strong background in building services design and in particular Mechanical engineering, engineering consultancy and the design and specification of Mechanical installations.
  • Familiar with the asset management principles of ISO550001.
  • Willingness to act as Senior Authorising Person with responsibility for the Mechanical Safety Rules.
  • CEng and member of CIBSE would be preferred but not essential.
