You will work for a professional organisation based in Canterbury, Kent. The Principal Accountant role is a permanent and full time opportunity, reporting into the Head of Finance.

Your new role
You will be responsible for the coordination and provision of efficient and effective accountancy support and information to services on financial matters to enable them to deliver their service objectives, including the following - budget management and monitoring, revenue and capital budget preparation, legislative changes, major projects, service developments and savings and growth proposals affecting the service, the application of corporate and statutory financial rules and procedures to their service and the reconciliation of the financial management system to other information systems.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have experience of preparing budgets, managing people, strong communication and team working skills, and knowledge of financial legislation.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a competitive salary of circa £45,000 per annum. You will also be able to work on a hybrid basis.
