Primary Teaching Assistant

Draigrecruitment requires a primary teaching assistant to work in a primary mainstream school in Flintshire. The role will involve supporting children of low-level ability and mild autism. As a teaching assistant, you will support children in small groups with reading, literacy, numeracy and skills. This is a welcoming small primary school in rural Flintshire, local bus routes are available accessible from Buckley and surrounding areas.

This role is temporary, working on a part-time basis 1-2 days per week.

The hours of work are 8:45-3:15 pm between any days Monday and Friday. Starts asap.

To be considered for this role you will need:

• Experience of supporting children or young people with autism

• Be supportive, patient, sensitive and nurturing

• Experience working in childcare settings

• No qualifications necessary

Additional requirements:

• Eligibility to work in the UK

• References confirming suitability for role

• Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or willing to apply

• EWC registration or willing to apply

• Safeguarding training or willing to take a free course with us

• Level 2 / 3 TA free TA courses available (subject to living in Wales)
