Horizon Teachers have an exciting opportunity for a Primary Teacher to working in an outstanding' specialist independent day school based in Merton. The school caters for children with speech, language and communication difficulties aged 3 to 19 years. The school has a unique atmosphere created by its totally dedicated, highly professional and caring staff.
The role involves planning, teaching and delivering an adapted and pertinent functional curriculum, within a maximum class size of 6 pupils, working alongside an experienced Head of Department.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Confidence, enthusiasm and a passion for learning.
• A relevant teaching qualification.
• Experience of delivering Early years / KS1 curriculum - foundational literacy and mathematic skills.
• Experience with the Equals curriculum is favourable, but not essential.
• Experience and/or interest in working with children with more profound/complex Special Education Needs.
