Primary Teacher in Newcastle
Humly North East are looking for a primary class teacher who is keen to teach in KS2 and to join the team at one of our fantastic primary schools in Newcastle (NE3) from September 2024. As a primary class teacher you’ll work and strive to deliver an outstanding working and learning experience for all. Therefore, a genuine passion for improving the opportunities for young people is essential.
This teaching position is full time and could be permanent for the right candidate. The working hours are Monday to Friday, working roughly between the hours of 8:00am and 4:00pm. This role is for the full academic year (2024/2025), but if the candidate is the correct fit for the school, the option of permanent placement is likely! The role is open to ECT’s with the opportunity to complete some of your induction year.
The successful candidate will:

Have recent experience of teaching in primary schools

Be nurturing, patient and kind and be willing to invest time in developing strong relationships with our lovely children

Have passion, enthusiasm, and commitment to inspire our children and the community to reach their full potential

Be approachable, reflective, forward thinking, have high expectations and the ability to ensure positive outcomes for our children

Demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning
Teacher Responsibilities:

Develop, plan, and teach lessons in relation to the national curriculum.

Supervise classes to ensure all students are learning in a safe and productive environment.
-
Organise supplies and resources for lessons and presentations.
-
Plan and implement educational activities and events.
-
Ensure your classroom is clean and orderly.

Prepare and distribute regular progress reports.
To be considered for the role of Teacher, an enhanced DBS Certificate on the update service will be required and satisfactory references will be needed. Our compliance team will fully support you through this process.
