Primary SEN Teacher Maternity Cover

Are you a QTS holding teacher, with experience of supporting pupils with SEN needs? Are you confident in working with children with ASD, MLD, or other comorbid conditions?

The Job…

Working in a small class of around 13 pupils, you will be delivering work that has been prepared, to cover the whole curriculum. The children have a range of SEN needs including ASD and MLD, and are working at Key Stage 1 Level. The school offers a nurturing and cheerful environment, promoting independence and interpersonal skills amongst its pupils, whilst delivering a highly individualised and specialised curriculum.

You'll Be…

  • A Qualified Primary Teacher in possession of QTS
  • Experience of young people with SEN, disabilities or additional needs
  • Experienced working with primary aged pupils across Key Stage One (KS1) and Key Stage Two (KS2)
  • Able to hold student attention and focus with excellent communication skills
  • Promote happiness, self-reliance and encourage positive interactions
