Calling all Teaching Assistants! Are you looking to gain more experience working within a school? If so, this opportunity for a Primary School Teaching Assistant might be for you.

Job description:
This role includes working as Teaching Assistant and working closely with a Year 3 class in an OFSTED rated ‘Good’ school in the Blackburn area with a 1.5 form entry.

Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant in this school would include:
• Working closely with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), who require additional support in the Year 3 class, delivering interventions and small group activities.
• Liaising with the class teacher on the development of the children and helping to plan and organise the lessons for the following day.
• Insuring children are safeguarded in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2023.
• Providing 1-1 support to pupils who need extra help with their learning.
• Helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements as a Teaching Assistant in this school:
• A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is preferred, but not essential.
• Experience of working as a Teaching Assistant, in a school setting or working with children in a similar setting such as care, support work etc.
• Strong understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• As a Teaching Assistant you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team with other Teaching Assistants and teaching staff.

This is a temporary position, unless stated otherwise.

Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
