This is an opportunity based across the Barnsley area working at multiple schools that have great reputations and are known to foster a supportive and positive environment both for pupils and staff.

The role itself will be to effectively teach designated pupils and to undertake associated pastoral and general teaching duties in order to provide high quality and continuity of education to pupils in the absence of their regular class teacher.

The successful candidate will:

have previous teaching/lecturing experience
establish a warm, caring, and supportive relationship with the pupils
be able to manage challenging behaviour effectively
have effective verbal and written communication
support the use of support staff relevant to the class
contribute to the provision of a safe, secure learning environment
SEN/SEMH needs
Strong behaviour management techniques
