We are seeking an experienced and passionate SEMH Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive school in the local area. This interim role, starting after the Easter break, offers an excellent opportunity for a teacher with a strong background in supporting pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Planning, delivering, and assessing engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to small groups of pupils with SEMH needs.
  • Creating a supportive and nurturing learning environment that accommodates individual needs and interests.
  • Collaborating with other staff members and external agencies to ensure the wellbeing and academic progress of the pupils.
  • Implementing effective strategies to manage challenging behaviours and promote positive outcomes.
  • Monitoring and recording pupil progress, adapting teaching methods to suit varying abilities and needs.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience teaching primary pupils with SEMH needs.
  • In-depth understanding of the SEMH curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
  • Resilient and positive attitude towards the challenges of the role.
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
